Prior knowledge For this workshop, you need to have mastered the basics of gluing latex! Don't worry if you're not there yet, because we have a separate online workshop to help you master those essential skills first. For whom?

This workshop is for anyone who cannot buy fitting latex socks. So from now on, you can make all the socks you want.

Prior knowledge

You have basic knowledge and experience with gluing curves in latex, because a latex sock consists of exactly that.

Video

  • This video only lasts ± 9 minutes (because we sometimes speed things up), but let's be honest: making your first pair of shiny latex socks will naturally take much longer.
  • You will need approximately 1-2 hours to make your first pair of latex socks yourself.

What will you learn?

  • You will use the basic pattern to create a pattern of your own feet.
  • Then you will make a latex sock from it.
  • In the video, we make a short sock, but you can, of course, extend it to knee length. Or glue them to leggings or a catsuit.
  • There is a basic pattern to help you as a digital download, but you will naturally make latex socks to your own size.
  • We assume you have watched the basic videos, as the basic techniques are not explained in this video. As a result, the pace of this video is faster than that of the basic videos.
  • This video has no spoken text but contains background music (which you can, of course, turn off).

  • Tip! In another series of videos, you can also learn how to make dipped latex socks, with toes. These are seamless socks.

What materials do you need?

Latex:

  • The size of the latex depends on the size of your feet.Tip! First make the pattern, then you will know how much latex you need.

Latex thickness:

  • 0.35/0.40 mm (0.45 mm) If you choose thinner or thicker, it will be more difficult.

Other materials:

A boot or shoe in your own size can be useful. Then you can use it as a supporting mold if necessary.

Tools:

  • Rotary cutter
  • Scissors
