Cutting latex with a Cricut machine!
Super easy latex cutting - without a laser machine!
Use a Cricut to precisely cut latex strips and various shapes. No laser machine needed! Perfect for clean, precise cuts without complicated equipment.
With a Cricut, you can make all kinds of latex shapes to decorate and personalize your designs. Think straight or wavy strips, circles, hearts, simple geometric shapes, appliques, texts, and much more. It's a fantastic way to quickly and consistently create decorative elements without having to cut everything by hand.
Keep your designs simple and powerful. Latex remains a challenging material to work with. Even when you temporarily adhere the latex to the cutting mat with adhesive spray, the material can still come loose or shift during cutting. Very fine details, small corners, or intricate patterns are often not cut cleanly and can detach before the machine finishes.
The golden rule is therefore: simple shapes = better results. Clean lines, larger elements, and not too complex designs yield the most beautiful cuts — and save you a lot of frustration!
What do you need?
- Cricut machine (Maker, Maker 3, Maker 4) - with rotary blade in the housing!
- Long cutting mat (or a small one - depending on your project)
- Paper tape
- Adhesive spray (brand does not matter)
- Latex (0.40-0.50-0.60 mm)
💡 Tip!
Make sure to firmly attach the latex to the cutting mat. Use a thin layer of adhesive spray so the material doesn't shift during cutting, and if necessary, tape down the edges with a piece of paper tape for extra stability.
Clean hands, clean latex, perfect results… and much less stress!
